Watercolor on YUPO
Instructor: Ryan Fox
Class Code: RF190210
Workshop Fee: $120.00
Sunday, February 10th, Noon – 5:00pm
Join watercolor artist Ryan Fox as you learn to create luminescent watercolors on YUPO synthetic "paper". Pigments do not absorb into the paper- allowing you to manipulate the colors as the paint slowly dries. Texture can be created using sandpaper, razor blades, spraying, and more. Artists will create several paintings using different styles and techniques in the class. Let yourself go and explore!
Supplies to bring:
Several sheets of YUPO 20x26 paper- 74lb or 144lb
Watercolor paints: One each of the primary colors. I prefer Turner paints. Choose between my favorites:
Rose Madder Hue
Watercolor brushes: Squirrel mop brush- #2 or #4, and I recommend the Mimik Round #4 or #6 for finer details.
Bucket for water
Drawing supplies: a 3b or 4b pencil and a kneaded eraser.
