Students of all levels are encouraged to sign up! New ideas and inspiration will be provided for former students and beginners alike. This workshop is a step by step guide on how to abstract representational work.
An emphasis will be placed on color exploration and composition. You’ll develop confidence in your choices of color and value, and have a better understanding of how to create a painting with a strong visual impact. Boost your work to a higher and more exciting level! Join us for some great fun!
Supplies to bring:
Acrylic brushes; Flats #2, #4, #6, #8, Filberts;#2, #6, #12 and any other brushes that you are comfortable with. You should try Bob's Big Bad Brush available here at Jerry's Artarama.
Two different size palette knives
Palettes: one flat and one with wells
Three canvases of varying sizes.
Matisse, Liquitex, Golden or Soho Acrylic paint in the following colors: Titanium white, Mars Black, Southern Ocean Blue, Australian Red Violet, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red, Ultramarine Blue, and Raw Sienna.
