Whether you are a seasoned artist, an absolute beginner or somewhere in between, a visual journal can be an excellent tool for unleashing your creativity. In this workshop we will work through a series of exercises, designed to loosen us up and get our creative juices flowing. We will mix a variety of different media to emphasize that our creativity is without limits. We will learn how to use visual journaling to work through blocks, and free ourselves to create our next masterpiece. Be prepared to have a ton of fun!
Supplies- A bound journal with pages sturdy enough to accept wet media, acrylic paints, matte medium or gel medium, brushes in a variety of sizes and shapes, palette knives, sharpie markers in your favorite sizes shapes and colors, pencil, oil pastels, palette paper, water container, rags or paper towels, a magazine with interesting imagery and text, scissors.
Optional- Liquitex acrylic ink, Sumi-e ink, hand carved stamps, Lumiere paints, heat gun, small spray bottle
